Mrs. Mägi was born and raised in Colorado. She received her BA from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO in 1995. She moved to Estonia in September of 1995 and lived there for nine years. During those years she taught English for a year in Saue Elementary and Middle School. For her remaining years there, she also taught five American students, children of expatriates in her home. Jill is married to Gunnar, an Estonian national, and is the mother of three Deer Creek Elementary School students. She likes to get students so interested in what they are learning at school that they go home and do additional inquiry into the subject just because they want to. In her spare time she likes to travel, study foreign languages, read, sing, and play the piano. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family.
