Get to Know Our Staff

Mrs. DeBoer started her teaching career at Deer Creek Elementary in 2000. She immediately fell in love with the third grade and has been a third grade teacher ever since. She completed both her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and licensure program in Elementary Education at Metropolitan State College in Denver. Mrs. DeBoer grew up in Conifer, Colorado. She and her husband now live in Bailey and have since 1998. She loves the Colorado Mountains. When she is not teaching, she enjoys trail running, biking, reading a good book and spending time with friends and family. She is proud to be a part of the Platte Canyon School District.

Miss Lynskey has been teaching since 2004, after many other careers including working in a small church in Ireland. She loves watching the children as they grasp a needed concept! She was born in California and this is her second time living in Colorado. She studied for her BS at Denver Baptist Bible College, and completed the degree at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Minnesota. She currently has a MA from California State University at Northridge. She is very excited about living and working in Bailey.

Mrs. Walsh was born and raised in western New York where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Therapy at Nazareth College of Rochester.   Jennifer moved to Colorado in 1999 to pursue a career in art therapy.   She worked for several years as case manager and art therapist in the mental health field.   Soon she found teaching more rewarding and earned a Masters degree in Elementary Education at the University of Phoenix.   Jennifer taught and substitute taught for several years in Douglas and Jefferson Counties.   She believes in creating a classroom community with high academic and social standards.   Jennifer is thrilled to be a part of the incredible third grade team at Deer Creek Elementary.   When she is not teaching, she enjoys camping, traveling, concerts and snowshoeing.   Jennifer currently resides in Conifer with her husband and two dogs.

Mrs. Walters is a native Bailey resident having lived here her whole life. She attended each of the schools in the Platte Canyon District. Upon completion of her high school career, Mrs. Walters attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. She later received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Walters loves working with children and helping them to become lifelong learners. In her free time, she enjoys running, Denver Broncos football, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
