Get to Know Our Staff

Mrs. Walters is a native Bailey resident having lived here her whole life. She attended each of the schools in the Platte Canyon District. Upon completion of her high school career, Mrs. Walters attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. She later received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Walters loves working with children and helping them to become lifelong learners. In her free time, she enjoys running, Denver Broncos football, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.

Jennifer Mattson was born in Conifer, Colorado.   Jennifer received her MA from Lesley University and her BA from Metropolitan State College of Denver.   She divides her time between raising three children with her husband, and working in education.   Jennifer has a special interest in the integration of the arts in the classroom.   She enjoys seeing students use their creativity and imagination to create works of art to express success in learning.   In her spare time, you might find Jennifer curled up with a great children’s book, or camping with her family.
